Inspiration & Tradition
I am a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, the great yoga master and author of Autobiography of a Yogi. Yogananda brought the scientific teachings of yoga from the East to the West, showing humanity how to not only achieve enlightenment, but also how to find down-to-earth happiness, success, and self-mastery.Guided by this lineage, I teach Ananda Yoga—a spiritual style of hatha yoga based on ancient traditions, developed by Yogananda's direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda. This lineage and the practical science of yoga form the foundation of everything I practice and share.

About Arya
As a certified RYT-500 and E-RYT 200 yoga and meditation instructor, I find joy in holding space for others to connect with their higher Self and experience true inner transformation. My own journey began at age 14 through Ananda’s Living With Spirit youth program, where I experienced firsthand how daily yoga and meditation could serve as an anchor to manage stress and anxiety. This practice taught me that while we cannot always control what happens to us, we can train ourselves daily to choose a response that brings us peace and happiness.Having immersed myself in a spiritual community based on Yogananda's teachings and served as a lead asana instructor for the Ananda Yoga Teacher Training program, I bring a compassionate, grounded presence to supporting students in living and sharing yoga from their true center. I am especially passionate about how Ananda Yoga empowers us to master our thoughts, energy, and ultimately, ourselves. My favorite aspect of the practice is the integration of affirmations with asanas—a unique combination that helps rewire the brain, reshape habits, and awaken our highest potential in the present moment.I love sharing these tools with people of all ages, especially online to teens around the world, helping them connect body and mind, manage emotions, and grow strong from the inside out.
